Fire Technology and Industrial Safety Management (Duration; 1 'year, NSQF level -4)
Course Content: During the one-year duration of “Fire Technology and Industrial Safety Management” trade a candidate is trained on professional skill, professional knowledge and Employability skill related to job role. In addition to this a candidate is entrusted to undertake project work, extracurricular activities and industrial visit to build up confidence. The broad components covered under Professional Skill subject are as below:- During the one-year duration trainee learns about the following:-
- Chemistry of Combustion- Triangle of fire, Fire tetrahedron, classification of fire, fire behavior, stages of fire, method of fire extinguishment and some important definitions like, flash point, fire point- ignition temperature, Auto-ignition temperature, flammability Range etc.
- Discipline: - introduction, importance of discipline, General principles of discipline, essentials for discipline and outward signs.
- Fire Extinguishers; - Types of fire extinguishers, method of operation and care & maintenance.
- Hose & hose fittings: types of hose-suction hose, delivery hose, and hose reel hoes, decay and prevention method of hosed, care & maintenance. Marking & repairing of hose, standard test of suction hose, types & construction of suction hose. Types of hose fittings and its use. Branches & nozzles, adapters, breaching, couplings, hose ramps, collecting heads and other miscellaneous tools and equipment.
- Hydrant & Fittings: - types of water supply, water distribution system, types of hydrants, hydrant gears, and equipment marking, testing care & maintenance & Operation.
- Pump &Primers:- classification of pump, why centrifugal pump is suitable for firefighting- types of primers, testing , faultfinding, care and maintenance and standard test.
- Foam & Foam Making equipment: - water as an extinguishant -its merits and demerits, introduction to all types of foam concentrations, properties of foams and techniques of extinguishment by foam, types of foams, characteristics of good foam, foam making equipment, mechanical. High expansion and low expansion foam storage of foam compound. Foam compatibility with Dry chemical powder.
- Extension Ladder: - types of ladders, construction features of conventional ladders, operational use, elementary knowledge of TTL. & snorkel.
- Breathing Apparatus set: -introduction of types of BA Sets in use, working principles and care and maintenance.
- Anatomy of Fire: Definition of combustion, elements of combustion, production of combustion, heat of reaction a calorific value.
Option for employments is compulsory to appoint Fire and safety officer in every establishment and this is unique course in the state has wide scope of employment.

Course Content: During the six months duration of Drone Technician trade a candidate is trained on professional skills and professional knowledge related to job role. In addition to this a candidate is entrusted to undertake project work and extra-curricular activities to build up confidence. The broad components covered related to the trade are categorized in six months duration as below:- The trainee begins with learning first aid, fire fighting and various safety practices for working in industrial environment. Identify & select different types of drones, drone rules and regulations, drone applications, and important safety precautions. Identify & select different drone’s mechanical parts, aerodynamics of wings, propellers and disassembly and reassembly of common drone platform with flying practices. Identify and test various electronic SMD components using proper measuring instruments and Identify, place, solder and de-solder and different SMD discrete components and ICs package with due care and following safety norms using proper tools/setup. Measure different type electrical parameters and record the data related with drone hardware. Identification of different type of batteries, battery specifications and their charging techniques used in drone. Test different sensors, their characteristics and repair which are commonly used in different drones. Identify, select and test hardware assembly, driver for BLDC motors. Inspect, test and execute GPS navigation and telemetry module, different RF blocks and antennas used in RF transmitter and receiver. Test and troubleshoot Flight Controller Board (FCB), Electronic Speed Controller (ESC) and its associated peripherals. Calibrate and troubleshoot drone gimbal and drone payload. Identify and resolve common error messages and corrections by Software debugging. Inspect, test and execute primary and secondary servicing with troubleshoot malfunctioning, and repair issues discovered. Also the trainee will learn to Communicate with required clarity, understand technical English, environment regulation, productivity and enhance self-learning.
Skills acquired: Drone Technician performs troubleshooting and maintenance tasks on unmanned aerial vehicles. Test different electronic components, circuits, boards used in Drone to find the faulty part by using instruments like digital storage oscilloscope, mixed signal oscilloscope, spectrum analyzer, waveform generator and multimeter. Replace the faulty board and components and perform basic /SMD soldering/de-soldering. Disassemble and assemble different parts of drone for testing and repair. Understand different batteries used for power supply of drone, their specifications and testing. Application and testing of different sensors used in drone. Testing of different motors BLDC etc, Electronic Speed Controller card and it’s connectivity with motor. Testing of flight controller and the communication between transmitter and receiver and its calibration. Testing of landing gear, GPS Module, collision avoidance sensor and it’s connectivity with console. Testing of transmitter, the control box to receiver at drone and the communication link. Testing of Gimbal Motor, Controller rand its programming. The individual in this job identifies different applications in agriculture, surveillance, security and to test the additional specific application based components to connect with drone. Electrical and Electronic Equipment Mechanics and Fitters and Related Workers, Other; include all other workers engaged in fitting, assembling, repairing and maintaining electronic and electrical equipment, machinery, appliances, etc., not elsewhere classified
Options for employment: Can join Aviation industry/other sectors as drone technician for implementing different applications of Drone and will progress further as Senior Technician, Supervisor and can rise up to the level of Manager. • Can work in a Drone service centre or start own Drone Training Centre and become Entrepreneur in the related field. • Can join Advanced Diploma (Vocational) courses under DGT as applicable.

Options for Employment are Beautician in the Beauty Parlours in India and abroad; Beauticians or Hairdresser in the Film Industry Instructors in the gymnasium and Health fitness center/club; Councilor on Beauty Care.
Options for Self-Employment are The trainee can set up a Beauty Parlour. Offer Hair &Skin treatment, Bridal makeup and dressing at home, Mehendi designing and preparation ofherbal cosmetic products. Organize fashion shows.

Skills Acquired With the help of cohesive teaching program that cover the theoretical and practical aspects through lectures, demonstration and in plant training, the trainees will have knowledge of industrial manufacturing of garments and mass production process, various decorations of garments and making alterations. The trainees will also be skilled independently to stitch baby garments, zablas, sari petticoat, pyjama, romper, yoke frock, night suit, ladies top, skirts, kurta, kalidar kurta, saree blouse, katori blouse (cholicut), nighty, ladies shirt, salwar, churidar, patiala pants, gents shirt and trouser. They will also be able to do variations in the design from simple pattern to difficult ones.
Options for Employment are The trainee can be employed as an assistant to a designer, an operator or supervisor in garment industry or get employed in tailoring industry / shops,hospitals, jails, defence forces and in the film industry
Options for Self-Employment are The trainee can set up his / her own tailoring shop for stitching ladies and gents garments. He / She can also setup a manufacturing unit of ready made garments with the help of various Government Schemes.
